Austrian Airlines: Smile Wall
Problem
Austrian Airlines was gearing up their first nonstop service from Chicago to Vienna. How could they get Chicagoans to listen?
Solution
We built off the airlines’ tagline, We Fly for Your Smile. We planted billboard-sized walls throughout Chicago, covered in thousands of takeaway magnets printed with the word “smile” in the different languages of the airline’s 130 destinations. As people took the magnets, the wall revealed details on the airlines’ destinations—and to put a real smile on everyone’s face, a donation was made to the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago for each magnet taken.
Results
Our Smile Wall distributed over 11,300 magnets and captured over 12,700 unique visits to the website.
