KLM: How Blue Flies Green
Problem
KLM led the industry with eco-friendly initiatives, yet no one saw it as a sustainable airline. How could they highlight initiatives that were hiding in plain sight?
Solution
We created a microsite that transported fliers straight into KLM’s sustainable world. Step by step, an interactive infographic took users on a virtual tour that showed how the airline addresses environmental impact from takeoff to landing (& beyond).
Results
The microsite received 100k+ likes on social media, 20k microsite visits in 21 days, and drove 94% of new visits to klm.com/us. It was so successful, in fact, that KLM translated the app into different languages and launched it across international markets.
